When James Dean was tragically killed in 1955, what if he left behind a secret pen-pal lover?  

 

The Fifties... It was a decade of adolescent romance and rebellion, juvenile delinquency and teenage mythology, the birth of Rock and Roll and the death of James Dean. Films such as "Splendor in the Grass," "East of Eden," and "Rebel Without a Cause" reflected the changing attitudes of America's youth.  

 

It is 1956, a year after the death of the legendary James Dean. Janey Cooper is a small town girl who grew up with Dean. Her secret pen-pal affair stopped when Dean was tragically killed. Now she visits Jimmy's grave every day. Eddie Heller is a mysterious stranger from California in town for a local car race, but he seems to know a lot about Janey and the letters she wrote to James Dean. Haunted by the legacy of the teen idol, Eddie emerges from the shadows to steal Janey away from Jack, the local rich kid that she will soon marry, and her lonely small town life.  

 

Cinematographer Gary Wagner's masterful craftsmanship and Director Tim Powell's visionary style portrays the authentic spirit of 1950's filmmaking.
